静電場朔 (Dian)

静電場朔 (Dian)

Visual Artist, Musician, and Designer

Dian is an artist, art director, and musician dedicated to building the myths of the next generation.

Born in Beijing and currently based in Tokyo, she spent her early childhood across the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This multicultural upbringing deeply informs her artistic practice.

With keen observation and a vivid imagination, Dian constructs her own unique “universe” through both music and visual art. She defines the human inner world as an “inner cosmos,” and through the personification of non-living objects, symbolically expresses the relationships between self and world, and between individuals.

After completing her master’s degree, she founded the creative collective XL-UNIVERSE and SOMSOC GALLERY in Tokyo. Alongside numerous solo exhibitions, she has participated in a wide range of art projects in Japan and abroad.

As a musician, she has released a diverse body of original work, including contributing music for the 40th anniversary of PAC-MAN and performing theme songs for animated titles such as Onmyoji.

She continues to captivate audiences through performances at music festivals both in Japan and internationally, presenting a performance style that is uniquely her own.
