▾ About Kaiju Lab

This solo exhibition presents more than 150 sofubi works, centered on the SKULL HEAD BUTT series from Kazumitsu Akamatsu’s original kaiju series, which has passionate fans around the world. The exhibition also includes interviews tracing the history of kaiju and sofubi, as well as kaiju sketches.

Also on view are Electric Eye from the SKULL HEAD BUTT series, a collaborative work by Akamatsu and SOMSOC GALLERY’s representative artist Dian, along with collaborative works with other popular artists.
