ANGEL UNHAPPY, created by multimedia artist Dian, embodies the delicate emotions of contemporary people. Through a collaboration with MILKBOYTOYS, derived from the legendary Harajuku fashion brand MILKBOY, a new dose of poison has been injected into its iconic form.
MILKBOYTOYS’ street-punk sensibility and psychedelic paint reminiscent of vintage horror are applied with the density only a one-off piece can have. The angel’s unhappy gaze and the intense eyeball above its head coexist in contradiction, capturing the essence of the exhibition theme UNKNOWN KAWAII.
