MILKBOYTOYS (ミルクボーイトイズ)

Brand, Toy Artist, and Designer

MILKBOYTOYS is a toy brand by Shingo Yasuda, designer of the apparel brand MILKBOY, and Kentaro Komori of sofubi designer KenthToyWorks.

Taking the theme of an “amusement park” that blends the fancy spirit of MILKBOY with the horror sensibility of KenthToyWorks, the brand produces not only original products but also projects and products for other companies.

Using sofubi (soft vinyl figures), a traditional Japanese toy-making material loved worldwide, MILKBOYTOYS creates a new kind of toy that fuses old-fashioned materials with modern ideas.

Shingo Yasuda:
Representative of Harajuku’s long-established brands MILK and MILKBOY. After years of working on brand graphics and merchandise, he encountered sofubi and launched a toy brand in 2016.

Kentaro Komori:
Representative of KenthToyWorks, who produces sofubi from design to sculpting and painting. He began working as a sofubi sculptor in 2012. In 2013, under the production of LA sofubi maker Toy Art Gallery, he made his sofubi debut with his original character Nadsat Boy, and has since sculpted artist sofubi for the company. In 2016, he met Shingo Yasuda of MILKBOY, launching the MILKBOYTOYS project and creating IT BEAR.
