▾ About STATIC SIGNALS

Static Signals is a series of paintings that explores what it means to be human in a rapidly changing, technology-driven world. At the center of this exhibition is the idea of hyper-fixation, the intense focus that drives progress, but can also narrow our perception of the world.

The title points to a tension: “signals” are the things we fixate on, while “static” is the background noise, the parts of life that slowly fade away as our attention narrows.

The works take the form of futuristic, human-like figures that exist somewhere between organic life and machine. These hybrid, bionic figures embody the tension between human vulnerability and our desire for perfection and evolution. Drawing inspiration from themes of futurism and symbolic imagery connected to apocalyptic narratives, the series invites viewers to consider not just where we are going but what we might be leaving behind.

Enhanced through Augmented Reality, the exhibition blends traditional painting with digital experience challenging us to reflect on a central question: as we advance, are we deepening our humanity, or slowly losing it?
