AADA

AADA

Visual Artist and Musician

Ali Alejandro (AADA) is a Filipino contemporary artist whose practice explores the intersection of traditional painting and digital technology.

His early career in music as the drummer for a Manila-based band named Mojofly led to opportunities in music production and arrangement for film and advertising. He later founded Prodigy Ace Multimedia Inc., where his work as a creative director continues to fuel his passion for video and the visual arts.

In the mid-2000s, he developed a strong foundation in digital art before expanding into experimental works that merge physical and virtual mediums. His early projects included projection mapping on canvas, and his recent works incorporate Augmented Reality (AR), creating immersive, layered viewing experiences.

Influenced by pioneers in Op-Art and video art such as Nam June Paik, Bill Viola, and Julian Opie, AADA’s work sits within the broader field of New Media Art.

Through his evolving practice, he continues to explore how digital tools can expand the possibilities of visual storytelling while remaining rooted in traditional techniques.
