[Artwork Statement]
This character appears in a story I wrote long ago. Raised from childhood in a powerful military family, she grew into a formidable warrior. She swiftly rose through every rank, driven by an unconscious wish to win recognition from the childhood friend she loved unrequitedly and to be admired in her hometown. But the greatest reason was that she loved the thrill of fighting itself. This is what she must now confront and come to terms with.

I depict women enjoying what they love most. In this work, she celebrates victory, greed, and blood. She does not yet have a name. What name would you give her?

[SOMSOC ART SHOW 2026]
SOMSOC ART SHOW is an annual art event presented by SOMSOC GALLERY.
It creates new encounters and exchanges through art, offering a space where anyone can experience works freely and intuitively.

This year’s theme is “One Artist, One Character.”
Each artist condenses a character representing their current practice and world into a single A4-sized work.
Whether a figure, abstract symbol, or embodiment of spirit, each character is a small universe reflecting the artist’s aesthetics and ideas.
Diverse expressions converge in Harajuku, where distinct worlds intersect.
