[Artwork Statement]
For me, kitsunetsuki, this character is my alter ego, my companion, and an adviser who worries and thinks alongside me. An old friend I have finally met in this world: it feels as though we have always been together, yet also as though we are meeting for the first time.

Until now, I have spun a single answer from wandering lines in the digital world and gradually given it shape. This is my first analogue work. With each stroke, I placed hesitation, uncertainty, and conviction onto the paper, so that I could meet for the first time in this world the companion who had been beyond the screen.

[SOMSOC ART SHOW 2026]
SOMSOC ART SHOW is an annual art event presented by SOMSOC GALLERY.
It creates new encounters and exchanges through art, offering a space where anyone can experience works freely and intuitively.

This year’s theme is “One Artist, One Character.”
Each artist condenses a character representing their current practice and world into a single A4-sized work.
Whether a figure, abstract symbol, or embodiment of spirit, each character is a small universe reflecting the artist’s aesthetics and ideas.
Diverse expressions converge in Harajuku, where distinct worlds intersect.
