さとねこと (satonekoto)

さとねこと (satonekoto)

Designer and Visual Artist

Born in Yamagata Prefecture.

She creates a wide range of works inspired by the liminal state between sleep and wakefulness—a dreamy, fleeting moment known in Japanese as yume-utsutsu.

Often believed to be a time when wishes are more likely to come true, yume-utsutsu serves as the core theme of her practice, inviting viewers into this gentle, dreamlike instant.

She expresses this world through diverse media including music, singing, illustration, manga, animation, balloons, and plush toys. She is also the creator of the popular original character Medi-Usa-chan, and the founder of her original brand Nekokaburikko, through which she has developed numerous products and collaborations.
